Relive the thrill of the isometric shooter Zaxxon video game, released in 1982 by Sega and now available for play on one of Arcade Classics’ authentic arcade machines. In the Zaxxon video game, players command an aircraft as it traverses a landscape filled with dangerous enemy missile bases. Part of players’ mission involves destroying fuel barrels to maintain your fuel supply; when the aircraft enters outer space, take out as many enemy aircraft as possible to gain maximum points. Gamers will be challenged to correctly size up barriers and passageways as they navigate the galactic landscape, and must also accurately fire six shots at the missile of the Zaxxon boss to earn 1,000 bonus points and advance to the next level.
