Build Your Own Monster Ball

STEP 1
Let's make the circuit! Take a power module and connect the battery cable and 9V battery to it. Be sure that the teeny on/off switch on the power module is switched to "on". Next, assemble the circuit: power + wire + bend sensor + fan
STEP 2
Find an empty cereal box and cut holes in it to fit the fan and bend sensor. Make sure the hole you cut for the fan is above the bend sensor. The battery can sit at the bottom of your cereal box.
STEP 3
Paint cereal box or decorate with cardboard. Make a handle so that you can bring it with you on your summer adventures. We made our cereal box a monster! What will yours look like?
STEP 4
Draw an eyeball or shape on paper and cut it out. Then tape the shape onto your fan. Make sure you tape the shape on the side of the fan that spins (not the side that blows air).
STEP 5
Create tongue and tape onto bend sensor. Test your circuit to make sure it works: when you push down on the bend sensor, the fan should spin.
STEP 6
You're ready to play Monster Ball! Place a cup under the bend sensor. Crumble up some paper to make balls. Then take your best shot!
