1920 directed by Tod Browning produced by Carl Laemmle starring Priscilla Dean, Lon Chaney, Wheeler Oakman, Ralph Lewis, E.A. Warren and Stanley Goethals. Chaney plays dual roles in this crime drama set in San Fransico’s Chinatown: as the vicious and seedy “Black” Mike Silva and the subservient and goodly Ah Wing. The second collaboration between Browning and Chaney, the film is considered to be one of the first psychologically driven films of the gangster genre. The film features some terrific fight scenes. The soundtrack is composed of “#163: In Their Terror Capable of Anything, Part 2” by Bull of Heaven, with added sound effects.

The film dramatizes the real-life story of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, which was composed of Nisei, second-generation Americans born of Japanese parents. Fighting in the European theater during World War II, this unit became the most heavily decorated unit for its size and length of service in the history of the United States Army. As well as one of the units with the highest casualty rates.

It contains some nice cars. The kitchen however is rather plain. Unfortunately the copy on the disc is missing the opening and closing titles, and the ads are also missing.

The horses know the route so well that no driver is needed. He reponds totally to voice commands from the carrier in back. Partially restored.

Wildcaters go from rags to riches in this sprawling drama of the Texas oil boom. Outstanding cast led by Clark Gable and Spencer Tracy. TRIVIA: The first attempt at something like AromaRama was tried in a Detroit theater during the showing of this film. It also was the last of three films Gable and Tracy appeared in together. The other two were "San Francisco" and "Test Pilot," the trailers for which are in this collection.

Dove and advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather from London have released this funny video ad recently. The spot promotes moisturizer for men. Did you know that by the age of 35 a man had tortured his face with 940 hours of wind burn, 7017 pokes, one glass door he ran into, 11 bachelor parties and other stuff. Therefore, men need gentle skin care. The video is illustrated with funny scenes from a one guy’s life. Great job! Watch the spot and have a good laugh.

Leica and advertising agency F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi from Brazil have released this beautiful film. The black and white film is shown from the camera’s perspective. We can even hear its story. Leica once was the camera of a war photographer. We follow their story, which takes us to a dangerous war zone, but is intercepted with love affairs occasionally. Budweiser and advertising agency Translation have released this stylish video commercial lately. The black and white spot features Jay Z. He is on his way to the studio to make some more great music. The commercial also features a graffiti artist, who is painting an amazing graffiti on a wall, and some dancers, rehearsing for a performance. The black-and-white film features Robert Pattinson, who is depicted as the ultimate badass, in the bestest sense, here. Robert is depicted having it all next to model Camille Rowe: the couple experiences the best moments of their lives, while Led Zeppelin’s song “Whole Lotta Love” is playing in the background. The 1951 Sugar Bowl was the 17th Sugar Bowl matchup, pitting the Big Seven champion Oklahoma Sooners (ranked #1 in the Associated Press poll) against the Southeastern Conference champion Kentucky Wildcats (ranked #7). Oklahoma's regular season record was 10-0; Kentucky's was 10-1. Oklahoma averaged 34.5 points per game; only one team had scored more than twice in a game against Kentucky that season. Oklahoma entered the January 1, 1951 game with a 31-game winning streak; the Sooners' last loss had come on September 25, 1948. Kentucky was coached by Bear Bryant; Oklahoma was coached by Bud Wilkinson. Notable players for the two teams included Oklahoma's Billy Vessels and Kentucky's Charlie McClendon, Babe Parilli and Wilbur "Shorty" Jamerson. 82,000 fans attended the game.

The company promotes a carefree, fun and rebellious lifestyle. The video encourages to simply live your life and dress accordingly – so that the clothes wouldn’t interrupt your wild nature. Charlie is arranged as a janitor in the house of Colonel Nobody succeeds at work too, soon throwing garbage at home than removing it. Colonel is the inventor of a new type of explosives, and a group of foreign diplomats want to get it. However, Nutt does not want to give them the treasured formula, and they decide to take her by force, employing for this purpose the thief. One of the cops accidentally overhears this conversation and Colonel House was soon filled with "kistounovskie police." At the end of the day, Charlie goes to the rooming house where forced calming singing drunk and faces pickpocket. After Charlie robs a cheater in a flophouse carnage begins. Having escaped from there, cleaner meets diplomats hired a thief who turns his old friend and convinces Charlie to help him. Arriving at the house of Colonel, they find police officers. It begins traditional turmoil, which leads eventually to an explosion of Colonel invention.

Sir James Blake has retired from Scotland Yard so that he can assist his niece Hope and her friend Jerry in developing an apparatus they have invented. Sir James thinks that their invention has the potential to prevent wars, and plans to donate it to the League of Nations. But a gang of criminals led by the elusive "Scorpion" steals the device, and Blake and his associates must recover the invention and determine the identity of the "Scorpion".

Charlie plays an actor who bungles several scenes and is kicked out. The next day a strange beautiful woman appears to audition for the film, it's Charlie in drag. After doing a perfect impersonation of a female, Charlie has drawn the attention of the director and is hired to act in his films. The director gives the beautiful woman the men's dressing room to change in and to Charlie's mistake he returns to his tramp costume. When the director returns, looking for the woman, he finds Charlie and that he has been tricked. Angry, the director chases Charlie through the studio until Charlie decides to jump into what he thinks is a prop well. The film ends with the director and other actors laughing at Charlie as he is trapped in the bottom of the well. The plot involving a man dressing up as a woman is quite popular in old silent movies. Charlie thinks he is in front of a mirror till he notices he holds a stock and his "image" the bag of loot. Published 1916

LZ 129 Hindenburg (Luftschiff Zeppelin #129; Registration: D-LZ 129) was a large German commercial passenger-carrying rigid airship, the lead ship of the Hindenburg class, the longest class of flying machine and the largest airship by envelope volume. It was designed and built by the Zeppelin Company (Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH) on the shores of Lake Constance in Friedrichshafen and was operated by the German Zeppelin Airline Company (Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei). The airship flew from March 1936 until it was destroyed by fire 14 months later on May 6, 1937, at the end of the first North American transatlantic journey of its second season of service. Thirty-six people died in the accident, which occurred while landing at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Manchester Township, New Jersey, United States. This was the last of the great airship disasters; it was preceded by the crashes of the British R38 in 1921 (44 dead), the US airship Roma in 1922 (34 dead), the French Dixmude in 1923 (52 dead), the British R101 in 1930 (48 dead), and the USS Akron in 1933 (73 dead). Hindenburg was named after the late Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg, President of Germany from 1925 until his death in 1934.

Chaplin played the role of assistant to the pawnshop owner. Henry Bergman played the owner and Edna Purviance the owner's daughter. Albert Austin played an alarm clock owner who watches Charlie in dismay as he checks out the clock. This was one of Chaplin's more popular Mutual Films, mainly for the slapstick comedy he was famous for at the time. Published 1916

The Immigrant (also called Broke) starring the Charlie Chaplin Tramp character as an immigrant coming to the United States who is accused of theft on the voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, and befriends a young woman along the way. Published 1917

Chaplin plays a drunk who checks into a health spa to dry out, but his suitcase full of alcohol does not aid him in this pursuit. Along the way he aggravates a large man and seduces a young lady, as Chaplin's characters are often wont to do. Published 1917

Neil Armstrong (1930–2012), commander of NASA's Apollo 11 mission, descends the ladder of the Apollo Lunar Module (or Lunar Excursion Module, LEM) to become the first human to step foot on the surface of the Moon. Transcription: “I'm at the foot of the ladder. These LEM footpads are only depressed in the surface of that one or two inches. Although the surface appears to be very, very fine-grained as you get close to it. It's almost like a powder. [Unintelligible] It's very fine. Okay, I'm going to step off the LEM now. That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.” By National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA's Apollo 11).

Set in pre-war Paris, "Midnight" is a screwball romantic comedy with an outstanding cast led by Claudette Colbert and Don Ameche;. The energetic screenplay was co-written by Billy Wilder and Charles Brackett. A must-see for screwball and romantic comedy fans. TRIVIA: Barbara Stanwyck was originally cast, but scheduling problems gave the lead role to Colbert.

When his younger brother, Steve (Del Erickson), is killed racing a hot-rod, Jeff Northup (John Smith) blames himself for the accident since he had built the car for his brother and had encouraged him to race it, with other boys on a special course provided by police detective Ben Merrill (Chuck Connors), who is working to reduce the city's hot-rod fatalities by providing supervision for the dangerous hobby. Jeff withdraws from participating in races on Merrill's course and, without his leadership, revert to racing on the streets. "Bronc" Talbott (Mark Andrews), a newcomers, makes a play for Jeff's girlfriend, Lisa Vernon (Lori Nelson). Eventually, the taunting-Talbott forces Jeff into a race which results in the death of a bicycling child, and evidence seems to indicate Jeff was at fault.

A fast-paced comic murder mystery with most of the action on a cross-county train. The mystery may not amount to much, but it leads to a spectacular eleven-minute thrill ride on a runaway railroad car that's not to be missed. Yes there's a guy in a gorilla suit (and kangaroo in his own suit). Great fun, and it's recently been released on DVD. CAST NOTE: Walter Brennan, Sterling Holloway and Ray Corrigan appear uncredited. Ray, as usual, is in the gorilla suit.

The vivid screen adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's biting satire based on the Amreican Revolution. This large scale British production features a distinguished Anglo-American cast led by Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas and Laurence Olivier. A worthy historical comedy which is still on DVD. TRIVIA: Burt Lancaster's character (Anthony Anderson) was loosely based on Peter Muhlenberg, otherwise known as The Fighting Parson of the Revolution.

Set in a desert land where the stooges run a restaurant, the boys set out to recover the stolen Rootin Tootin diamond after they learn from the thieves that the Emir of Shmo has absconded with the contraband jewel. They journey to the stronghold of Shmo where they disguise as Santa Clauses and scare the ruler into giving them the diamond. Published 1949

Ben, Edna and their baby daughter (Will Gregory, Gaye Gordon, Geraldine Leder) are headed to California when their car breaks down. Ben ventures off to the junkyard in search of a spare part to fix his car. Coincidentally, Harry (Paul Leder) the seedy junkyard owner has just been accused by the police of selling stolen auto parts, and claims that he gets his cars from someone else. Ben wanders into the junkyard just in time for Harry to frame him and use him as a scapegoat. When Ben doesn't return after quite a while, Edna goes looking for him. She is then chased around the junkyard by Harry's odd, dim-witted friend Blowhard (King Moody).

Minnie O'Malley, a cowgirl in a travelling rodeo, seeks help from Sherlock Holmes--to remove a dead body from her hotel room! Strangely, Holmes seems to be more than happy to comply. Suspects range from a Blackfoot Indian, the owner of the rodeo Bison Jack, and a meek salesman across the hall. Published 1954
